Pouya Kolahi in one of his interviews in response to the question “How did you come up with the idea of a closed peacock album?” Has said:

“For me, this album can be the story of a hero’s ups and downs. His failures, his desire for victory, his falling in love, his loneliness and his loyalty. I see my protagonist in the form of a close tailed peacock. We always imagine a peacock with open feathers. A peacock with a closed tail hides what distinguishes it from other birds and what gives it a perfect image. I am a close tailed peacock, you are, and so is anyone who seeks to “become someone”. We must open our feathers and be the one no one else has ever been and never will be. Of course, this is accompanied by deep fears and requires courage. In my opinion, a a beautiful romantic event can give the close tailed peacock the courage to open its feathers.”
